There is still time for you to taste the fabulous Lobster dishes featured in our award winning restaurants. While the Turks and Caicos is well known for our beautiful beaches and tax free property, according to an article by Forbes magazine published January 2017 the Turks and Caicos is becoming a culinary destination as well. So, while you are out searching for your vacation home or condo, don’t forget to take some time out and enjoy the restaurants and their personalized touches on the Caicos lobster.

Here are the top 5 Lobster dishes I recommend you try:

1. Crackpot Kitchen- Lobster Thermidor
Chef Nik doesn’t waste any of the lobster! At Crackpot Kitchen you are presented with a beautiful whole lobster. The bottom is the delectable grilled lobster we all know and love while the top is filled with his signature lobster stuffing. This beautiful crustacean is served with your choice of potatoes or local peas and rice. The best lobster dish on island paired with the Chef Nik’s entertaining stories and humor make a great evening under the stars.

2. Coco Bistro – Surf n Turf
Nothing beats the classic Surf n Turf meal. Coco Bistro is the number one restaurant on Trip Advisor and puts a fine dining spin on the old classic dish. This dish is presented beautifully with two sides, my favorites being the red skin potatoes and sautéed spinach. Lastly do not forget to enjoy your meal with a glass of Pinot Noir or Sauvignon Blanc (depending on your preference).

3. Mango Reef- Lobster Pasta
Mango reef is both a local and tourist favorite! Not only is this a great place for happy hour drinks and appetizers but as evening approaches dims into a fine dining experience on the canal. The lobster pasta (like all their other pastas) is amazing! This creamy white sauce pasta includes onions, mushrooms, garlic and baby spinach and is topped with parmesan cheese! For all the pasta lovers, you will enjoy this dish.

4. Infiniti Restaurant and Bar- Lobster and Scallop Ravioli
The Infiniti Restaurant is located at the Grace Bay Club Resort. Chef Wolfgang Von Weiser combines lobster and scallops in a ravioli shell in tomato based sauce and mint oil. This is a much more elegant atmosphere perfect for date night.

5. Fresh Catch- Grilled Lobster
Last but certainly not least is the local favorite Fresh Catch restaurant. If you’re looking for a little more relaxed dining that still has great food, this is the perfect place for you. While they have many lobster dishes served at both lunch and dinner the best is their grilled lobster. The lobster is grilled to perfection and glazed with their own special oil for a hint of flavor without spoiling the natural fresh lobster taste. This dish can be paired with a wide variety of side dishes, my favorite being sweet mashed potatoes and old fashioned mac and cheese.

I hope you enjoy these restaurants as much as we do.  Enjoy !!
